FIRST BATCH 2022
The first batch of Filipino language training, held from November 28, 2022, to December 20, 2022, involved 17 participants, all of whom successfully completed the course. The training took place at the PACCI Resource Center and was led by Brielle Irish C. Galanga, with assistance from Ma. Yvonne C. Bracamonte. Afternoon sessions were conducted by Raim Mica C. Everett, supported by Nhazel Geruela. The facilitators were student interns of Social Work from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
This program was designed to help refugees from French-speaking countries and the Arab world acquire essential Filipino communication skills. Through the training, participants gained valuable language proficiency that greatly facilitated their integration into Filipino society. The sessions focused on enhancing their ability to navigate daily life, access services, and pursue educational and employment opportunities in their new environment.

SECOND BATCH 2023
From March 21, 2023, to April 25, 2023, PACCI conducted the second batch of the Filipino class. The morning sessions were taught by Brielle Irish C. Galanga and Ma. Yvonne C. Bracamonte, while the afternoon sessions were led by Raim Mica C. Everett and Nhazel Geruela. The four are social work interns of CFSI and 4th year graduating students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
The course focused on essential Filipino language skills for daily life, covering topics such as giving directions, shopping, and ordering food. Of the 22 participants, 19 completed the training, while 3 dropped out due to schedule conflicts or returning home. The course concluded with a multicultural food-sharing event at PACCI, where participants enjoyed dishes from various countries. The successful implementation of the class and related activities provided valuable skills and fostered an inclusive learning environment. Trainees expressed gratitude for the improvements they achieved through the program.

THIRD BATCH 2023
On August 3 to 31, 2023, the Filipino classes, taught by Brielle Irish C. Galanga and Ma. Yvonne C. Bracamonte in the morning, and Raim Mica C. Everett and Nhazel Geruela in the afternoon, saw enthusiastic participation from rightsholders. The learners’ intense focus and active engagement created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere in the classrooms. Their immersion in the language was evident through their bright smiles and strong dedication to integrating into their new communities.
This commitment culminated in a certificate presentation ceremony, which symbolized not only academic achievement but also their hard work, perseverance, and deep desire to belong. The celebratory expressions on their faces highlighted their individual growth and collective progress towards integration and empowerment in their new environments.

FOURTH BATCH 2023
Rightsholders approach their Filipino classes with exceptional focus and attentiveness, fully immersing themselves in recitations and exercises.
During lessons, they actively engage in these activities, demonstrating a strong commitment to practicing and mastering new skills. Their facial expressions clearly reflect their dedication and the progress they are making in learning the language.
The classes are characterized by enthusiastic and concentrated participation, with rightsholders diving into discussions with great energy. This batch was only facilitated by two interns of CFSI namely, Brielle Irish C. Galanga and Raim Mica C. Everett. It was done from October 10 to 26, 2023. This training was availed by 25 participants.

FIFTH BATCH 2024
The Filipino Language Training Program, which began on March 7, 2024, successfully enrolled 21 participants. The program was structured into morning and afternoon sessions to address the diverse learning needs of the participants effectively.
Throughout the course, the rightsholders demonstrated exceptional focus and dedication, immersing themselves fully in each lesson. Their eagerness to learn was evident through their active participation in recitations and exercises.
The program’s success was largely attributed to PACCI and the exemplary dedication of Instructor Elirie J. Cruspero, who provided invaluable guidance and support. Additionally, Teacher Maria Theresa B. Ignacio played a crucial role in managing the morning sessions and assisting “seat-in” participants, contributing significantly to the positive outcomes of the training. At the end of the course, participants were awarded certificates recognizing their hard work and achievements.
The smiles on their faces reflected not only their satisfaction but also the genuine joy they experienced from their learning journey. Their attentiveness and enthusiasm enhanced the learning experience, showcasing their profound dedication to acquiring basic Filipino skills and integrating into their new communities.
