PACCI MEDICAL MISSION

In occasion of World Refugee Day and the inaugural National Refugee Day, June 20, 2024, marked a significant event for PACCI. Dedicated to serving refugees and asylum seekers, PACCI, in collaboration with Watanak Diagnostic Center, organized its first-ever Medical Mission for refugees, asylum seekers, and their families on June 22, 2024.

The event offered a full day of medical services, including check ups and various laboratory tests such as X-rays and ECGs. Ms. Dawn Macahilo, VOICE Global/Philippines Project Manager, attended the event, which served approximately 50 rightsholders and their family members. Dr. Johayrah Omar, one of the founders of PACCI and a Board Member and Vice-President for Filipino Muslims and Medical Concerns, owns Watanak Diagnostic Center. Her business partner, Dr. Mohamad Elbeitam, the founder of the Middle East and North Africa Chamber of Commerce Inc. Philippines, is a prominent businessman and Arab leader who recently became a naturalized Filipino citizen.

PACCI and Watanak Diagnostic Center share a commitment to charitable work for underprivileged individuals in the Philippines. Now, refugees and asylum seekers can receive free check-ups and lab tests at Watanak Diagnostic Center when referred by PACCI. This event highlights the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved when compassionate and generous individuals unite for a noble cause.
